Montreal’s John Jacob Magistery is grounded in raw talent and authenticity. Driven by singer/songwriter Johnny Griffin's creative vision, the post indie/folk group are open to experimenting with new sounds and different instruments. Their debut EP (released in 2014) quickly had them dubbed the next break-out band from Montreal by many media outlets and music blogs. This list included being voted one of CHOM 977's best music discoveries of 2014. Listeners at CHOM (Montreal's biggest commercial radio station) also voted their first single 'Greatest Story Ever' as one of the top 30 songs of 2014. As a group focused on providing performances with feeling, their live performance showcases the groups strong vocal abilities with an intent well crafted sound.
