Biography

CHNNLL is a trio led by multi-instrumentalist Chris Davidson, and blends the warm analogue sound of live instruments with computer manipulations and warped synths. Chris moved to New York City in 2009 to pursue a career as a jazz drummer and composer. While attending The New School For Jazz and Contemporary Music, Chris had the pleasure of studying with Reggie Workman, Mark Guiliana, Kendrick Scott and Billy Martin. While Chris’ love for jazz is still strong, he has grown as a musician and is no longer behind the drums on the stage, but up front singing, switching between keyboards and guitar as front man CHNNLL.
