Biography

The Kwerks are a married duo with a witty and exuberant brand of folk-pop peppered with Canadian bluegrass/country. The pair bring their 17+ years of singing together to the stage, and match their otherwise unique voices with ease. With rhythmic guitar playing and lyrics that cut to the core, their songs are filled with fun energy, leaving their listeners up and grooving to the beat. The duo released two EPs in 2016, a self titled EP as well as a winter record, and gained national exposure as their music was picked up by both college and commercial radio across Canada. Nominated for a Fraser Valley Music Award, the pair opened the awards evening in July 2016, and have packed out venues ever since. Enhanced by their quirky music videos, The Kwerks bring a certain humour and lightness to their performance, and put out an entirely refreshing, down to earth attitude.
